Hakan Şükür claimed he was offered bribes to settle the case. Şükür said: "I have made a lot of money. I turned the offer down immediately."
The national football player Hakan Şükür filed a complaint about constructor Fatih Mehmet Baysal who acted as his proxy for purchasing land in 2004. The second trial of the case was held yesterday. Şükür said he gave power of attorney to Fatih Mehmet Baysal to buy and sell land on his and his wife's behalf. However, Baysal sold some land without informing him. Şükür said: "Baysal's father and counselor offered me a great deal of money to close the case; however, I turned it down."
