It is saddening

Büyükanıt refuted the claims that the general staff is preparing to interfere with civilians' lives: "there is no such plan."

The chief of the general staff said: "plan is prepared and implemented. There is no preparation or a plan." Büyükanıt accused Taraf newspaper: "just look at the financers of that newspaper."

Büyükanıt stated that Turkish Armed Forces are under attack and added: "Are there any other armed forces in the world who are attacked more than ours? And they are attacked in such a period when the fight against terrorism is very successful. This is saddening."

Büyükanıt refuted the claims that the general staff is preparing to interfere with civilians' lives: "there is no such plan."

The chief of the general staff Yaşar Büyükanıt started his speech with the authorities granted by the law and added that Turkish Armed Forces are the forces attacked the most all over the world. Büyükanıt said that these attacks are saddening. Büyükanıt said: "Are there any other armed forces in the world who are attacked more than ours? And they are attacked in such a period when the fight against terrorism is very successful. This is saddening."


Referring to the documents published by Taraf newspaper with the title of "General Staff's Plan to Divide Turkey", Büyükanıt: "I have to say that the general staff do not have such a plan. Plan is something that is prepared and then implemented. But there is no preparation or implementation. You need to look at the financer of that newspaper publishing such claims."
