Erdoğan: "CHP took Atatürk out of Turkish bank notes"

Erdoğan responded to Baykal, who had stated: "First you should reconcile with Atatürk;" by saying; "When Atatürk died, it was you who took his picture off of the bank notes."

Prime Minister Erdoğan responded to Deniz Baykal who had previously stated: "First, you should reconcile with Atatürk;" by stating; "stop hiding behind Atatürk in making politics. CHP should first clean the stains of its past, and then talk. The public has problems with Baykal's insistent attitude."

Baykal told Erdoğan to first reconcile with Atatürk. Erdoğan responded by saying: "CHP took Atatürk's picture off of Turkish bank notes. Do not conduct politics hiding behind Atatürk."

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan responded to CHP leader Deniz Baykal's references to Atatürk. Erdoğan wanted Deniz Baykal to stop conducting politics using Atatürk. Erdoğan said: "we know very well about your past. We know that CHP took Atatürk's pictures off of Turkish banknotes after Atatürk's death. CHP should first clean up the stains in its past and then talk." "We are going through a very important process in terms of our legal system and democracy. Please watch closely to what everyone says and does."
