Ogün Samast and Yasin Hayal, the suspects in the Hrant Dink murder, had a verbal dispute during the hearing yesterday. Hayal cried out: "I salute Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu."
During the sixth hearing of the trial for the murder of Agos newspaper chief editor Hrant Dink, defendants Ogün Samast and Yasin Hayal had a verbal quarrel. Yasin Hayal stated: "I salute the grand leader of the Turkish nation, Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu. Dear Muslims and nationalists, you should be at peace, this train shall go on until the Great Union Party comes to rule." This statement brought to the agenda the connections between the Great Union Party and the solicitors and suspects of the murder. Yasin Hayal, who was arrested for acting as the solicitor of the murder of Hrant Dink, was a member of the Great Union Party in 2000.
