A new era is to start for smokers on May 19th. Smoking will be prohibited in closed spaces, school yards and open theatres. The penalty fee for those who do not abide by the prohibition is 62 YTL. Citizens will be banned from smoking in closed spaces other than houses. Public and private bodies will issue a fine ticket for those who do not abide by the law. The ones under 18 will be banned from producing, selling and distributing cigarettes and the fine will be 1000 YTL. The ones selling cigarettes in schools, courses, theatres and sports centers will get a penalty of 1000 YTL.
