), has forecast one in every 10 new cars sold by 2020 will be electric.
"Motor vehicles cause serious pollution and we are acting in line with a zero CO2 global movement," said Ibrahim Aybar, general manager of Turkey
's Renault Mais.
The deal includes building charging infrastructure and electricity supply, while Ankara will purchase 100 Renault Fluence electric vehicles in 2011, Mayor Melih Gokcek said.
Fluence cars will be produced in the Turkish city of Bursa.
