Turkey's eminent physicist Engin Arık was professor at Boğaziçi University and her area of specialty was experimental high energy physics, that is, particle physics. Arık was also the leader of one of Turkish groups working for the Atlas Project carried out at CERN, European International Nuclear Research Center in Switzerland. Professor Arık's studies were defined so significant to deserve the Nobel Prize.
