CHP SEEKS SOLUTION TO KURDISH ISSUE

Republican People’s Party, or , Chair has expressed that they have taken a very important step towards solving the Kurdish issue and plan to continue by stating, “The whole issue is finding a solution to this problem. If this issue is solved and people are no longer being killed, then it can be at the cost of my party chairmanship, that’s fine.”

"I departed the meeting with the Prime Minister with a sense of hope. The Prime Minister did not say that our road map was in error. He basically said, 'If you can convince MHP and BDP, then we will have no objections." The problem is this: Who is going to convince MHP and BDP? They are basically the two fundamental actors in this issue and both need to be on board.

I didn't conceive the meeting as being a plus or a minus for . If this issue is going to be solved, and if it at the price of my chairmanship, then that's fine, just let it be solved.

The east is experiencing a divide on an emotional level. We also have disconnects in other areas, which is not a good thing at tall. This is something a politician needs to be aware of.

I understand why MHP does not approve of our road map. However, they also need to bring a solution to the table. There should be no more bloodshed in this country."
