Last night, sported it all, except for a goal. Two shots by were returned from the goalpost, and for , it was Selçuk who dusted off the post.

Last night hosted at the Stadium for a Spor Toto Super League derby. Although it was an exciting game, with numerous attempts and positions, both teams walked away without a score and a 0-0 draw.
Beşiktaş fans were congratulated for their support of the earthquake victims in Van, only to be criticized later for throwing foreign objects onto the field hitting Galatasaray's Eboue.
Galatasaray's Uruguayan goalkeeper Muslera was most definitely the star in his first derby in Turkey. Saving two shots that were destined to be goals in the first half, Muslera went on to continue playing without errors in the second half.
The second half was marked by both teams' technical directors playing chess-like moves only to have key players injured just moments after they entered the field. At the end of the first half, substituted Ayhan with Sabri. However, just 11 minutes into his playing time, a struggle against Beşiktaş's İsmail Köybaşı rendered him unable to continue to play and most likely to be off the field for another eight weeks. After the game, Ismail paid a visit to Sabri in the locker room to offer him an apology
Beşiktaş Technical Director Carlos Carvalhal brought Necip Uysal on when Veli Kavlak left the field in the 60th minute due to an injury. Unfortunately just four minutes later Uysal suffered an injury himself and had to exit the game only to head straight to the hospital. With a number of fractures, he may have to stay off the field for a few months.
Overall, it was an exciting night. Both teams played exceptionally well, despite the lack of a score. However, Fatih Terim will have to wait for another away derby chance against Beşiktaş order to mark a career first by way of securing a victory in İnönü Stadium in a league match.
